After graduating with honors from the college of veterinary medicine, Dr. Ammar started practicing veterinary medicine in Northern Ontario for a few years. This is when he developed a special interest in small animal surgery and emergency medicine. Dr. Ammar then moved to continue practicing at multiple emergency clinics in Niagara and Hamilton areas for few more years.
Dr. Ammar always had the pleasure to work around excellent, well educated and trained staff that shared his value of practice that is focused mainly on client education. He enjoys educating clients about the care of their pets, helping them to better understand preventive medicine and how to take good care of their furry family members. When emergencies happen, client education and understanding is key in making decisions and plans to save their beloved furry babies. There is nothing more rewarding at the end of Dr. Ammar’s day than seeing that smile on pet family faces knowing their beloved babies are healthy and happy again.
Dr. Ammar highly appreciates continuing education for himself and staff and to implement new tools of medicine towards improving quality of life for furry family members and to strengthen that bond with their owners. During his free time you will find him busy with his family, playing tennis, and reading.
